Independent Living Community residents have technology questions.
Your Speed Technology Training has the answers.
Every day, more and more senior citizens are using technology to make their lives more fun, interesting, and above all, easier. However, when problems arise, they are less likely to feel comfortable troubleshooting their problems, resulting in frustration and irritation.
Help is rarely far away, but many people have experienced problems asking tech-savvy children, grandchildren, or neighbors because they simply do not have the time or patience to address the issues with the care and at the tempo that is necessary.
At Your Speed Technology Training, my goal is to inform and educate in a calm, patient, and simple way so that my clients not only get their problems addressed, but they learn how to keep them from coming back.
What We Offer
Many basic tech problems are not actual problems with the devices, but stem from unfamiliarity with how to use the device or technological concepts. By attending workshops that focus on topics important to seniors, your residents can get answers to questions they never even knew to ask, and become more familiar with concepts such as email, text messaging, cybersecurity, and the ever mysterious “cloud”. By learning about these topics, seniors can feel more comfortable and empowered to start exploring their devices on their own.
Your Speed Technology Training offers many different workshops on a range of topics for you to choose from. All workshops are delivered on-site at a time of your choosing, and can last between 30 minutes to one hour. Attendance can range between 5-30 attendees.
Should the residents want more information after the workshop, or desire personal training sessions, Your Speed Technology Training offers to conduct Personal Training sessions for an hourly fee, which can be conducted in the resident’s room or in a common area. This is a service separate from the workshops, and no one will be required to sign up for Personal Training sessions if they are not wanted.
